PT Gumindo Perkasa Industri support the vocation program
On December 11th and 12th, two days in a row, the management of PT Gumindo Perkasa Industri (GPI) accept almost 80 students from Sekolah Tinggi Perikanan (Fisheries High School) to have a plant visit of our factory in Merak, Banten
During the interview with the lecturer, it is said that they are very glad to be accepted to the factory as the student can learn visually from the process of raw material up to the finish goods (carrageenan), they also glad to have this opportunity as only a few industries opened for the education institute to have a plant tour and learning process in the factory.
From the management side, this activity is considered as a good opportunity as well for the industries, therefore all the students can prepare themselves before entering the real working environment, all the curriculum can be adjusted to suit the industry needs, then for the industries it will be an advantage for industries to have a skilfull employee that ready for work
Everyone got the benefit of this program and we do hope the students are learning a lot from the full day experience in the factory and we are hoping that all the graduates are more equipped for ease job exposure. And for the nation, Indonesia, with more people doing value added in this seaweed business the more it will attract government attention on this sector.
